New Education Policy 2020 and Technical Vocational Education and Training

Abstract

This briefing article is an attempt to highlight the importance of Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) considering New Education Policy (NEP) 2020. TVET plays a prominent role in economic and social development of every nation. It provides better opportunities of education to people who are facing several barriers in their general education and learning process. The important indicators of the integration of TVET and NEP 2020 are learning contents, teacher training, school policies and labour skill development etc. The study also identified the relevant initiatives that have taken by Indian government at national level.
